ScriptaHub · working draft
Cookies and local storage
What this site currently stores on a visitor’s device.
1. Current position
Working draft. The main ScriptaHub catalogue does not currently set advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies. The site uses browser localStorage for preferences chosen by the visitor. The online reader also loads the standard Umami Cloud analytics script; Umami states that its tracker is cookieless.
2. Local preference storage
These values are read only by this website and do not identify a person by name. Visitors can remove them using the browser’s site-data controls.
Contribution drafts
When you choose Next on a contribution form, this tab temporarily stores the form text, contact details and selected filenames in session storage under an opaque draft identifier. This lets you review the agreement and return to edit. File contents are not stored. Drafts become unavailable after 24 hours and can be removed by clearing this site’s session storage. Only the final action opens your mail application, where you review, attach documents and send the message.
3. Analytics and third parties
The reader loads a script from cloud.umami.is. Umami documents that the standard tracker uses no cookies and creates anonymous traffic statistics. Confirm that no custom identification, session properties or replay features are enabled, and add the verified account region and retention period here: [UMAMI CONFIGURATION]. Optional speech recognition is supplied by the visitor’s browser and is governed by that provider’s settings and notice.
4. Consent rule
No consent banner is planned while the site uses only requested preference storage and cookieless aggregate analytics. Before adding any non-essential cookie, fingerprinting, replay, advertising tag or similar access to a visitor’s device, ScriptaHub must update this notice and, where required, obtain informed consent before activation. Romanian Law 506/2004 and Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive contain the relevant storage-and-access rule and the strictly necessary exception.
